Summer Fun

What a great time we’ve had this summer.   We spent some of our summer days running ‘summer fun days’ for our school aged children.  It was a great opportunity to try out new ideas in the creative room where we had laid out a wide variety of different materials for the children to use as they wished.

We had some dry days which were spent in the garden where we discovered you are never too old to build sandcastles!

Our walk down to the Frome valley was lovely as we enjoyed a game of ‘pooh sticks’ on the bridge and a stroll around Winterbourne Down.  However, the best part of the summer was the many shows put on by the children for staff to watch ‘Hambrook Hedgehogs got talent’ and the ‘H factor’.

On behalf of all staff I think I can safely say we all enjoyed spending some of our holidays with the Summer Club children.  They were impeccably behaved and a credit to their parents.
