More Exciting Exam News!

Exciting news landed on the doormat of Hambrook Hedgehogs’ Session Leader Zoë Hendy this week. I’m delighted to announce that Zoë has been awarded a Masters in Education (Early Years) with merit!

Zoë had previously qualified for her Early Years Professional Status through the University of West of England but rather than accept her award of Post Graduate Degree (with merit) she chose instead to continue to work towards her MA.

While setting up Hambrook Hedgehogs as Session Leader and joint owner, Zoë has worked towards her dissertation entitled “Could an Early Years’ Pedagogy rich in Gross Motor Skill Development aid Fine Motor Skill Development too, thus better preparing Children (particularly Boys) for their Transition to School?”

In summarising the dissertation, the marker stated “You have researched an area which has great relevance to the new curriculum and concerns about boys and writing. I am convinced that this project will have benefitted the children and staff of the setting.”

It just leaves me to say, on behalf of her proud and delighted family and work colleagues; congratulations Zoë!
